Qualifying Requirements
There are several fundamental qualifications that all employees must meet in order to work onboard a cruise ship, even though exact position requirements and experience vary on the job you are interested in.
Essential Details:
- Must be 21 years or above
- A valid passport
- Police Clearance
- VISA or work permit
- Pass a medical examination (PEME)
General Ships Crew Skills Required
Key characteristic on board:
- Effectively communicate with passengers and crew

- Work in a team environment without direction or supervision
- Be enthusiastic at all times
- Have great communication skills
